Could someone do a lookup for me plz, I am looking for Charles Miles born Great Bookham, Surrey in the mid 1820s he married a lady called Frances Wing (i think) in 1860 in Cobham, i would like to know who was living in the house hold with then and where abts they were living many thanks Karen

so was he christened in G Bookham? when? Can see lots of 'Miles' christned there but not a Charles

that could well be them, i know some of the family were born in cobham later on, i was hoping that by then they have had some children. many thanks for your help karen

i know his two brothers Cornelius and Philip were born in great bookham and i think his sister was as well, but charles i am not 100% sure, i also know that there was abt 4 more children but i cant find them either

it definately looks like the right people, i didnt know they were married in epsom though

Where is the info (names ) etc coming from? You seem to know quite a lots about them, and yet are looking for them at a funny time - usually you either start in 1841 with them at home and go> or 1901 and go < Do you have A 1901 person hat we can work back fom, wouild be easier and more relyable

alot of the info has come from birth certs and marriage certs, other info has come from family and the igi, it probably does look a bit upside down way of doing it but i am relitavely new to this and i am just going on what i have been given

i have all of philips childrens birth certs, i have his marriage cert to a lady called sarah mazdon in 1850 which states his fathers name as cornelius, his brothers and sisters names have just bee past down from family to family

i have a cornelius born in gt bookham abt 1822 philip born abt 1820 in gt bookham charles elizabeth anne abt 1827 in gt bookham john

this philip is very confusing, do you know if cobham is near gt bookham, i assume it is near or he wouldnt keep changing his mind

yes they were both called cornelius, but i dont know what his mother was called no one can remember that at all

looking in the IGI i cant even see a cornelius Miles, if i hunt thru children born in the right time frame. let lone children with those name. what was Cornelius Snrs occupation- see if i can see him on 1851 somehow one possible explantion- you should catch him on 1841 census though (which i dont have) Name: Miles, Cornelius Record Type: Deaths Quarter: June Year: 1842 District: Epsom County: Surrey Volume:4 Page 83 Epsom Created 1st July 1837. on his sons marriage cert it just says labourer living at king street (i think it says but its not that clear) in southwark

that could be cornelius jnr, i will get a cert to see if it is the right one
