Hi Please can anyone help me in helping a cousin of mine. She would like to know about: Mary Ann Hewer (baptised 18th Sept 1859 at Poulton, Whiltshire). her husband was John Patrick Murray. Please has anyone got or can search any details about JPM because I have searched everywhere I can think of but I cannot find a marriage for these two and yet, all the birth certificates for their six children have the father's name as John Murray? Please can anyone help thank you Craig Rowberry |

Hi John was born in abt 1858 don't know where but the eldest child was Albina Ellen Murray born in 1896 in South Cerney, England |

So you must have him on one census then ...yes ? which one and what's he under ?UI can't find ANY of them anywhere for reference ???? Elaine ;-) Well, Reg has !! ....... At least now we have something as a reference check ! |

Hi all I do not know anything about this perason I am afraid but I would think that they would have married in the place where their 1st child was born: Minnie Kate Murray born b.1884 in Cowley I have not got them in any census only the 1901 which Reggie has given 2 me now |

The children's birthplaces on 1901 could be inaccurate...........there is a nephew with the surname Hewer, which is apparently the maiden surname of Mrs Murray, so that would seem to indicate that it's the correct family Reg |

Well I do not know anything as this is for a cousin of mine so I have only had this information tonight. But I would say that the marriage would have been around1880's or a little before that. I would have 3 guesses in where they got married: 1) in Monmouthshire, Wales 2) in Cowley I think it is in Oxford 3) Poulton, Wiltshire Thank you any way for all your help Craig |
