Hi Tom, Here's what I found in 1916 Kelly's directory of Hull;- Mrs Lavinia Askew 'shopkeeper' 9 St Paul's street, Hull Frederick Askew 'butcher' 35 Lansdowne Street, Hull Neither name appears on the 1936 Kelly's directory under the trade or private resident sections. Cheryl

Hi Cheryl Thanks for the offer. Please could you look for Mary and/or Emily Walker in the 1916 directory. In 1901 they were running a confectionary shop at 515 Anlaby Road, Hull. Robert Morrine Maxwell the laurels, norwood, beverley (private resident) R M Maxwell & son 'corn & seed merchants' 16 North Bar within, Beverley' (trade listing) 1936 only covers Hull itself sorry. Hi Judith, No problem. There weren't that many Maxwells in Beverley in 1916. Neither Stanley or Donald were listed under private residents or trade. The other Maxwells are;- Mrs Elsie 'milliner' 31 Toll Gavel - trade entry Mrs K P Maxwell, 24 St Mary's terrace - private entry No entries for any Calverts at all. I also checked Beveley Parks, Molescroft etc.. for both surnames. Cheryl

Hi Judith, No Jack Todd or surname Male in 1916. Looked for any Maxwell entries in Leven;- Robert Maxwell & son ltd. 'corn merchants', Canal Head, Leven. Presumably this is connected to the Beverley branch? Cheryl
