Hi I have some research that has been passed onto me to follow up on but am having trouble verifying things. I am looking for the parents of a Mary Ann Stanley born 1855 in Dorset, parents names are believed to be William Napoleon Stanley and Catherine Crate. William's occupation is said to be sweep, I can only guess a rough year of birth as being about 1820's? Any help greatly appreciated. Danielle

I think that it is your Catherine I found before in 1861 as Widow also Born Ireland as was William so I think it is her.... But I maybe wrong ? Lesley :~)

Suzanne Report 25 Apr 2006 12:20

The trouble is Loopy there are loads of Catherine (and some called Stanley) born c1828 Ireland on the 1851 census? and the age difference and birth place are quite different to the Catherine Crate from 1851? LOL but then again I may be wrong... Suzanne

This sure is a tricky one!! Mary Ann was born in Dorchester according to later census records. Her mother now shown as Catherine Luen is shown as born in England 1831? Thanks Danielle

Suzanne Report 25 Apr 2006 12:32

Thanks Danielle, Have you got them in 1881 as well? have you got any certs? Suzanne

Dan

Dan Report 25 Apr 2006 12:56

I have no certs Suzanne, nor do I have them in the 1881 or 1871 only the 1891 and 1901 - by the 1901 however, Catherine isnt with her daughter's family, am not sure where she is or if she has died. All the info I have was given to me by a 80 year old woman, and I realize it is very vague, so we will likely have to look at ordering some certs. 1901 View Record Alice M Kring abt 1884 St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands Daughter St Helier Jersey View Record Charles G Kring abt 1883 St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands Son St Helier Jersey View Record George Kring abt 1894 St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands Son St Helier Jersey View Record Gladys E Kring abt 1898 St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands Daughter St Helier Jersey View Record Lily Kring abt 1887 St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands Daughter St Helier Jersey View Record Mary A Kring abt 1891 St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands Daughter St Helier Jersey View Record Mary Ann Kring abt 1856 Dorchester, England Head St Helier Jersey Danielle
