Hi collette my nan didnt know her siblings but her own children were Agnes,Helene,Ann Dorothy Rose,Peter and Nora Patricia(my mother) hope this helps regards ruth

Hi Ruth there is only two with same name same year. The one born in Edmonton seems to be right.. Albert Giles married Henrietta Sophia Moore Edmonton Sept 1894. But as you say safer to get the birth cert but state you only want it if the father is Albert. Isnt there anyone alive who knew her siblings names that would help. Also what names did she give her own children maybe theres a clue there.. Take Care Colette

You just wouldnt think there would be so many with the same name and area. I do think to be sure I will send for birth certificate but thank you everyone for your help and I will be able to use this when I get the certificate kind regards ruth

My nan was born in 1899 her name was May Victoria Giles her mother left her as a baby but was believed to be named Ann and her father was named Alber Giles. Unfortunantly that is all I have to go on. Yes I will have to send for birth certificate, sorry to be a pest best wishes ruth

I think you reallly need your nan's birth certificate to give her parent's names. Albert was still single in 1901 and living at home.

Albert was on the 1901 census unmarried There is this marriage on the free marriage search Albert Giles 1904 Jul-Aug-Sep Islington Greater London, this one did not marry an Ann, it may not be him of course Linda
