I still see the second letter of her name as an E in the 1851 census. If it were Sency the C looks a bit like an E in '51. Hope someone finds her death entry. Val

Well, I appreciate so many people taking a look for me! Suzanne, I had no idea of Thomas Tappin's christening date, so thanks a million for that. On the 1851 I have Soney Taplin noted as being aged 55 born in Fulbrook, which I believe is near Stratford, Warwickshire. Her husband was Stephen.

Hi when i first saw the 1841 Sency I thought it was Lucy but looked at Enumerator's S's and L's and think it is an S. Senga is a name Agnes, backwards, maybe Sency was a nickname. Off to look at 1851 Val

No, my fault entirely, I didn't say it was her first name...apologies.

She was born and married before 1837, so the only record I would be able to find is of her death - and I can't. For a long time I assumed her name was Fanny and it was just mistranscribed.
