Peter, If Doris was born and died towards the end of the March qtr, then the death might have been registered straight away, i.e. in the March qtr. whereas you have six weeks in which to register a birth, so maybe for some reason they didn't want to register both together, although I would have expected them to. It seems strange that Doris has a death registered in the March Q 1907 aged 0, and a birth in June Q......has anyone else found this? Peter

National Archives 1901 census Search shows a Leonora Nurse - age 23 - born Chelmsford - Civil Parish: Aldershot - Administrative County: Southampton. No idea from that description if she is married or not Maureen Ancestry list her as Neave

I can't find another female Nurse in any other census when I put Aldershot into the 'keywords' box. Kath. x
