Jacqueline I dont mean to be funny or anything, but the spelling of the words you put in will alter the result that is returned. Had I put in Auther , as you put in your original request - we wouldnt have found him either. likewise the ,mis-spelling of a place name . I have rellies in born in a place called Cogenhoe ( pronounced Cook-no) and of course that gets spell so many ways its untrue Sometimes you have to use you imagination- pick out the most unsual name first and birth place - sometimes that works, or all the sons born so-and-so in 1846- you may have to look thru pages and pages...but you may well spot the right 'shape' word i did my looking in this order with these thoughts.. saw the name , looked for the birth Looked for Arthur born W'h'ton=loads looked for other births WH'ton saw others picked on Rowland as unusual entered just Rowland born W'H'ton, because i knew there wouldnt be many Still not many I thought looked right deleted WHTon, used staffordshire.. those two words and nothing else You DONT have to fill every box
