Have looked through all the census`s and the only one I can find is 1891 Charles Lovitt with fathers name of Frederick but sadly wrong place.Arlsey in Bedfordshire.Really sorry cos would love to find them for you.Good luck and welcome to the lost rellie section! Wanda.x

Hi Reg, I have to admit to some of the same line of thought myself.....I was just off trawling deaths myself.....maybe one of those things we just will never know for sure unless I stumble on something. There is a family of Lovett.....solicitors and sons clerks.....details escape me......keep drawing me back, will go and check them out again later. Sorry, been looking for all sorts - but can't find a thing. Had wondered if perhaps the mother had remarried and he had taken the stepfathers name - dead end though. The closest I can find is Charles Henry Francis born abt 1876 croydon, surrey.

Call me a cynical old so and so, but 'deceased' fathers on marriage certs always make me wonder.............I know the majority are genuine, but some clearly are face-savers........... Just thinking aloud, as it were........... No deaths on the freebmd bit of Ancestry............ Reg
