Hello. I am trying to trace any living relatives of my grandfather, Robert Chapman, born circa 1920 in Fethard on Sea, County Wexford. I have very little information on his family background, but it is my understanding that his mother died during childbirth and he lived with various relatives up until he left Ireland when he was 14 to work on the merchant navy ships. He subsequently arrived in Liverpool around 1947 ish where he met and married my grandmother Lillian Gerrard of the Everton area. They had one son together Derek (my father). Sadly Robert contracted TB on one of his shipping trips and died at the age of 32. If anyone has any information, I would be most grateful to hear from you. Thank you and regards. |

Valerie - Jacqueline's post is almost 6 years old. It's very unlikely she is looking for replies, especially since it was not possible to post replies at that time. |

Another tip -- look in your Sent Messages folder -- if the envelope beside your message to her is still purple, she hasn't read it, unfortunately. |
