It's not a new thing.

Just to be clear - "Humphrey" Chamberlain in FMP's transcription of the 1939 Register is actually Christopher, mistranscribed.

(At least, I'm assuming so - is that the case, ErikaH?)

As is often the case, Ancestry hasn't caught up with the opening of that closed record, so I can't look at it myself.

Cyril's name is accurate - as per his birth and death records

Irene Boorman is in a member's GR tree........perhaps the 'owner' knows which couple were her parents.
