I’m looking for any relative of George Stanley Kendrick who passed away at 8 Cobden Rd., Wrexham, Wales in 1929. A few years ago on Genes Reunited I found relatives of my father’s mother, Emily May Oakley. My father’s birth certificate showed father as unknown, but I’ve since learned that George Stanley Kendrick is “unknown” father. My father was William Norman Oakley born in Oswestry, England. He came to Canada as a teenager, one of the Church of England Waifs and Strays. George Stanley married Margaret Arnold. They had a daughter, Alice Francis Kendrick.

The unknown father’s name was identified on documents received from The Church of England Waif and Strays. My father who was born in 1916 was placed in Barnardos Home for boys.
