I think I will order that certificate as well, I appreciate all your help today, I didn't expect to find another husband, but it explains why I couldn't find her death using the name Wright. I am very grateful.

Yes, in fact I ordered 2 last week for 2018, their own search facility is really good. It goes up to 2019 now.

Thankfully this is the last one I want for the time being.

ErikaH Report 19 Jul 2021 15:54

Checked the GRO ordering section.

You can order a 2012 death cert with just the GRO refs. Additional info required only if the deceased was aged under 16

The info I found for you confirms the 'line' for John Wright

There is, yes, thank you.

The Ancestry tree says his parents were Richard Halsall Wright (1906 Aberystwyth - 1986 Cardiganshire North) and Grace Alice Gough (1908 Bedminster, Bristol - 1999 Cardiganshire North)..

Grace's parents: Henry John Gough (no dates or places) and Marian Sarah Budd (c 1877 Bedminster). [ MariOn 1876 on GRO ]

Richard's parents: Robert Wright, 1868 Southport, Lancs, and Maria Halsall, c1870 Fleetwood.

Plenty there to check out, Deborah!

I do want it for a reason. I am ordering all the BMD's relating my Parents first cousins, because of the information they contain which can be very helpful when going back a generation, and also for them, as it completes my records, and then I know the information is correct for both myself and future generations. This is the last one on my list, apart from those who live in Australia, and that will be another project. I know I wont get Australian certificates, but hopefully I will find something in the records to add to my file.

Do you just want to know when she died or do you need the certificate for a reason?

You may need to know her exact date of death to be able to get the certificate.

Thank you AG, I haven't researched John Henry, but the MC says he lived at 6a New Parade, Hayes End, at time of marriage, and Fathers name was Richard (middle name begins with H, but its smudged) occ Greengrocers inspector.

Saw a tree with Richard H Wright, and the wife's maiden name Gough, but didn't look any further.

I have deleted the thread, sorry about that, my laptop was being really slow, so I pressed send again thinking I hadn't done it in the first place.

A tree on Ancestry claims that John Henry Wright (mmn Gough) died "about 2007" in South Africa - but doesn't give any proof.

The tree also doesn't mention Joan.
Just "Unknown spouse".

An 'Edward J English' was at a different address in Norwich in 2002

Deborah

Deborah Report 19 Jul 2021 14:41

AG, through family members we were told she stayed in Norfolk where she died, and it was the last address we had for her.

Deborah

Deborah Report 19 Jul 2021 14:36

I did see it, yes thank you ErikaH, sorry about the 2 posts, it was a mistake, pressed send twice.

That is definitely the address I had for Joan, her parents lived in the same road at number 3.

ArgyllGran Report 19 Jul 2021 14:32

How do you know Joan's address when she died , if you don't have the death cert?
