Could someone please search the 1939 Register for members of the George Family.

I'm having problems tracing the family of James Herbert George who married Marjorie Rose Inkpen on the 17th of October 1942 at Chelsea Register Office. James George was 21 at the time of Marriage and living at 6 Cambridge House Dartrey Road, World's End, Chelsea. The same address was given for his wife. He is listed as a window cleaner and his father as James Herbert George (Deceased), Loader in Flour Mill.

I've been looking at the following the following family as a possibility

James Herbert George married Florence M Everett in the Second Quarter of 1920 in the Wandsworth District.

His mother obviously re-married.

Not seeing him on the 1939 register. He would have been of the age to have been in the Forces in which case he wouldn't be shown.

Or he could possibly be the closed record on the 1939 register with his brothers, but his death should have been picked up and his record opened.

You said you were having problems chasing the family of James Herbert George. Isn't his brother family? You indicate in your opening post that Joseph EA is part of the same family and the mmn in records indicates that. You didn't say you specifically wanted to chase back through the parents.

James Herbert's marriage to Florence in 1920 should confirm his Father's name
but this is the only birth to "fit" the age at death and is in the right area for his marriage.
