Can't find his parents on the 1939 Register - at least not together, and not in Derbyshire. .

Can't see the family in 1911, either.

Not seeing the parents on the 1911 census. Or George

Maybe parents could have died by 1944, , nor sure if Matlock were effected by the bombing , in near by Sheffield were I came from and they had a lot of deaths
