Looking for anyone who knows of a Lily Dryden who lived in Coventry 1931 as she gave birth to a son who was born 7/7/31 he was taken for adoption. He was actually adopted in 1933 when 2 yrs old not sure if he was in care before adoption.
He is now 90yrs old and lives in Canada he has only just found who his birth mother is with my help.
He has his original birth certificate before adoption.
No father named on his birth certificate which we have now obtained. Lily either married a Smith or her mother did and they adopted her so changed her surname to Smith.
This info we can see from info that HM Passport office GRO has sent us after our meeting that we had with adoption agency. His mothers name on his birth certificate
Lily Richardson SMITH FORMALLY DRYDEN.
His given birth name
Alfred James Dryden
If you have come across anything during your research or do come across anything please get in touch and let me know no matter how small.

Thank you so much for reading this finger crossed someone knows something

Denise

It is highly unlikely that anyone who knew of Lily would spot your post.

Have a look, via the search option T the top right, and look to see if anyone has Lily in their tree.

Have a look at this free site www.freebmd.org.uk to try and find Lily’s birth. Using the GRO site you can is get the mother’s maiden name.

Good luck.
