Find Ancestors

William Slater appears on the 1851 census, age 28 born 1823 in Chipping, Lancs, with wife Elizabeth and family, plus his Father James who was 55 [looks like 35] but on the transcript it says he was born in 1796 so that means he was 55 and a widower.
I cannot find any reference to James or William to see if I could find any siblings of William.
I've found Williams marriage to Elizabeth Baines b.1823 and married in 1845, she was born at Leagram, which is next to Chipping and all the children were born there at Moss Lane Farm, although it looks like Mops farm on 1851 census.
I'm sure William can't have been an only one but have exhausted where I know I can look. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
