Find Ancestors

Hi I received help a few years ago finding
James Alexander Demetrius brb1919 in India
He marrried and had 2 children one in 1946 in Poona and the other in 1949
Does anyone know how I can find out what happened to them
My srepdads family in uk know nothing about this.
James Alexander Demetrius’s dad was James C W Bell he married Daisy Constance Nichola in 1917 James C W Bell came back to uk in 1920/21 in 1921 living with his future wife in Somerset. In 1939 he’s living with her back in Deptford on Giffin street.

I see from the other thread that I found James A D's marriage on FamilySearch, and presumably the first child's birth -
but I can't find it on FS now.

In case anyone else can find JADB's marriage on FS (where I found it in 2020, bur can't now) or elsewhere, his wife's name was given as Dorothea Patricia May Davis, even though she was Mary Patricia Dorothy Davis at birth (baptism above).

Marriage was in 1945, in Poona, Bombay.

JAD Bell's baptism and marriage are on FMP, but can't see anything else about him

I can't find any sign of either James or Dorothea, nor of their daughter Brenda Constance Julia, on FIBIS.

(Which, incidentally, is a really fiddly website to search on!)

Thank you yesterday I found another daughter of James and Dorothea on Famiky search
Jamie Patricia Avril bell brn in 1949
It’s sad that James C W Bell came back to uk and left them behind. James C W remarried in uk and had other children but I don’t think his other children knew. I found the great grand daughter in uk when I asked her on ancestry about India she had no idea what I meant

The British Indian records pre 1947 are held in the British Library rather than the National Archives.

I must be doing something wrong on FS .
I can't see the 1949 daughter at all!

The elder girl's birth is on FMP, but of course, everything changed in India in 1947

I’ve just done a search for James Alexander demetrius and Daisy constance Nicholas and they don’t appear on any trees. I have found them on one on ancestry, I contacted the owner but all she knows is that James Alexander Demetrius was son of James C W Bell and Daisy that’s it nothing more .
There is a lady in the Uk who’s grandma is the Daughter of James C W Bell and Rosina Vowles they married in 1927, but she is unaware of James C W Bells life before this

I looked and found both James and Brenda in a GR tree. It may of course be the same person who has her tree on Ancestry……….you will be able to determine if that’s the case as you must know the name of the one on Ancestry

The names of the owners of the GR and Ancestry trees are not at all similar, so it will be worth contacting the GR one, especially as she knows of Brenda's existence.
