John's place of birth hasn't been written as Rochale on the image, just ditto under the Buckleys. So probably should be Saddleworth as he stated on the 1911 census, posted above.

This must be him in 1911. He is a Stone Mason and his (and Mary Margaret's?) daughter Lily was born in Philadelphia in 1894.

He has been married to Henrietta for 3 years, no children from this marriage. The Smith children must be Henrietta's from her previous marriage.

You haven't answered the question about the Schofield children..............it did have a purpose

Yes my great grandmothers maiden name was Walker. The reason why I wanted to find John Bromley was to see if he did father a child, the one you found Maria Bromley in 1898 (the year Mary Margaret died) but she died aged 2 years. So I guess I will have to get her birth certificate to see if she was the child of John Bromley and Mary Margaret.
