Hello out there, can anybody help, looking for parents of Joseph Rush born Stanwix/Kingsmoor Cumberland about 1760/61 died Stanwix 1922,( age 61) he married Mary Stagg in 1790 and they had six children, As there are no further records on familysearch I am wondereing what I can do now? |

Parish records have existed since 1538 but very few have survived as far back as that. If they have, they are likely to be on microfiche at the local County Records Office....in this case Carlisle. The office used to be at Carlisle castle but that was many moons ago & I have a feeling it will have moved. |

thanks for all your help, I have got back to Joseph Rush and Mary Stagg married 1790, I am unable to to verify parents of Joseph Rush born 1761, will parish records be of any help, and are they difficult to decipher? thank you |
