Hi Ann & Cynthia,

Many thanks for the help you have given me, and for 'finding' our Sarah Brown. We have still not been able to trace the date or place of birth of her husband Charles Corby, b Abt 1767, Or, my Father's Powell forefather Benjamin Powell married to Mary Edwards on 10 Dec 1832 in St Mary's Chuirch, Brecon Town.

As you obviously know how to research, I wonder if I could 'hire' you to research these two problems I have, or at least advise where I may be able to extend my family line.

Yours sincerely

Graham

Hi Ann, I have had a problem with my computer, I kept having a notice Server error 503.0, and I could not get any further. I have got around it now by switching to my laptop.

Many thanks for all your help and advice, I now understand how to call up ' my threads'. You obviously know how to research Parish records, and I wonder if I could enlist your professional assistance as I am completely stuck on both of my parents lines, the Powell's and the Corby's.
Yours sincerely

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards/board/general_chat/thread/1334369

The one that seems to work for most people is.......

Click the Tools icon (or Alt + X) - the cog shaped one top right of your screen

Click Compatibility View settings in the drop down list

Add the Genes Reunited website - genesreunited.co.uk

.............

As this isn't a research thread, start one of your own on Find Ancestors if they are deceased, or Living Relative if they aren't.

Ann finds many of the PR from the free site
https://familysearch.org/

Depending on the area, there are many other free resources available

here is the easiest way to return to your threads

just read the note in my 'Researching' line :-)

when you start a new thread, or post a message in someone else's thread about a family of your own

just tick the box under the space you type in, where it says

'Add to My Watched Threads'

you can also do it after you post by clicking 'Watch This' up at the top of the thread

then when someone adds a message to that thread, you will get an email notice

just make sure your email address in your account here is always up to date :-)
