Thank you Flip for your continued interest. I am still persuing the certificates but there is a slight delay in that my neighbour, the family of the tree, has cried off contact, temporarily, with a bad cold and, I have to admit I don't want to share it! |

So why have the other posters deleted their comments? Obviously I don't copy to my computer as it isn't my history so not sure what has gone on in the missing posts. But I still think you need George's birth cert for his parentage if he's your target. |

Thanks Flip for all your extra finds. I have started negotiations re birth and marriage certificates so may be one day it will become more than speculation! |

If it's George you are tracking then I think you need that birth certificate to establish parentage! None of the A* trees has him as William's child - although that means nothing. |

There are some trees on A* with parents Charles Edwards and Harriet Burnside getting married 30/1/1804, and her born c1785 in Pavement, York. Don't know how reliable they are though, and the 1851 census states her age as 55 so born c1796? So, it's a possibility that the 1851 census wrongly recorded her age but I'm at a loss as to how to check this without finding her in 1841. |

Sorry, didn't see your last post. I can't find Harriet senior in 1841 just their daughter Harriet (c1826) and then both of them in 1851. Harriet snr may have been with other family members but wrongly recorded in 1841 (eg with a married daughter and the name "dittoed") or simply her name mistranscribed. |

I am looking for William Edwards siblings and his parents' marriage in Family Search and the results coming up make me wonder if Harriets age in 1851 is correct. Does she show up in 1841 with a different age please? |
