My mother told me that her farther was injured in a blast at work when he was a young man, about 1908, and he lost a kidney. I know the area the hospital would have been in, but are there any sites that I could access to find out details? |

Hospitals and infirmaries at this time were often attached to the workhouse, so see if any of their records have survived. You could also try local newspapers in the archives to see if they reported the accident. |
