Any info would be appreciated, I can't seem to find out his parents names or when he died. Information I have already:

John Ricketts Davies born Llandefalle 1864 died? Ynysybwl?
married Annie Bufton (1867-1935) in 1890
They had a son - William Ricketts Davies
Born in Ynysybwl in 1894, he married Susan Reed (1895-1970) in 1912
William was killed in WW1 in 1915 in France, They had a son , he was my father.

They should sill list their names though whether they are deceased or not! Who were the witnesses listed?

I take it the Jones ar the witnesses? Do you know who they were? If not, might be worth trying to work out where they fit in! Were there no names at all then for either of their fathers? The next option would be to buy both of their birth certificates!
