I am searching for Henry Spencer borne about 1840. From his marriage certificate of 1872 at Coleraine, Victoria, Australia he was borne in London. His parents are named as Henry Spencer and Harriet Wheymans. Father and Son are both listed as Butchers. Research shows a Henry (Hy) Spencer arriving in Australia in 1862 via the "Great Britian". He was aged 21 at the time. Attempts to trace information on him have all failed so I am in hope that this may lead to some knowledge of his origins.
Ever hopeful, Kerry Spencer

You just need to delete this Kerry - you have hit 'submit' twice so there is a duplicate posting.
EDIT I think the other posting has maybe disappeared?

Oh Jan, what have you done now? :-0

Had a troll through census, but not spotting anything for him, nor a marriage for the parents.

What do you mean Flip?? 'Oh Jan, what have you done now? ' Nothing apart from the above posting!
I hope you are not implying I RR'd the other thread. I most certainly did not and would have said so on it if I had.

I've tried newspaper archives, hoping to find him being transported but there's nothing that I can see.

Information posted by Chris Ho all correct. I hold copy of marriage certificate of 1872.
Spelling of mothers name is Harriet (correct) Wheyman(?)may or may not be a letter for question mark. Marriage certificate states birthplace as London, prefession as butcher. Henry signed his name on the certificate so he could write. If anybody is interested in his wife Mary Jones info is held. I am afraid that is all the info on Henry that I hold. Kerry Spencer
