Hi.
Could someone give me the details of Henry Johnes (Johns) (Jones) in the 1871 census. He was born 1853 London Middlesex. He was a member of the Royal 12th Regt Lancers. The census was taken in Farnham, Surrey, Sub distict Frimley..Many thanks for any help.

Thanks for that. Did not realize it was a "barracks address".
Is it possible to view the original? Is it Johns or James.

Impossible for me to tell really but it certainly isn't Johnes. The problem being that the descender of the "y" in the name above has encroached into Henry's surname making it difficult to read. If I had to guess I would say more likely to be James.
