I have GGGAunt named on 1881 as CASSINDA, 1891 CARSINDA, 1901 LAURINDA and 1911 CORINDA

Surname Empey born 25th September 1835 in USA

Married and lived in Canada the rest of her life found death of her husband in Glengarry, which is where they are on all other census's

On 1911. widow, living with daughter Sarah and son Walter, neither married, in Glengarry, Ontario.

On 1911 aged 73 but according to birth date would have been 76.

Can't find her death

Since posting this I'm not sure about the death of her husband now. Alexander Empey born 1832 Quebec. He is on 1901 but on 1911 she is a widow.

I saw the John William one and thought it was THE one, then I chatted myself out of it. Funny that they give his Father's name and his Mother' maiden name but not the spouse.

I also think that the Walter on the 1911 census is my Dad's BIL mistranscribed as you put above he married my Dad's half sister margaret White aged 50.

Can't find a marriage for a Sarah to a Mans either. It's not that clear is it?

She was Casciinda Brown born 25 Sep. 1835, Ogdensburg, NY and died 5 Jan. 1919, Lancaster, Ontario. She's buried St. Andrew's Cemetery, Williamstown, Ontario.

Her parents were Radford Brown & Eliza Empey. Cascinda had a sister Olivia Brown born 6 Feb. 1838, Ogedensburg. She married William Silas Fetterly. Their son Thaddeus William Fetterly married Eliza Adena Empey, daughter of Alexander J. & Cascinda.

The death for both Cas & AWJ was Lancaster, Ontario, a small town east of Cornwall almost on the Quebec border.

It's me that's the "Duh".

The record was from a newspaper obit, The Cornwall Standard"16 Jan. 1919. Will look it up but I've got a family emergency right now, got to get hubby to hospital. Will be back.
