Stupid as it may seem - I am unable to establish the name (or any details) of my grandmother who mostly lived in WestHam/Forest Gate, East London/Essex. Her husband (my grandfather) was Charles Henry Collins who died (took his own life) on 23rd December, 1943 at the Recreation Ground, Cranbrook Road, Barkingside, Essex. So far, I have managed to contact two of my cousins - both of whom (also like me) cannot remember her name - but one kindly provided me with Charles's Death Certificate. Her daughter (my dear mother) was Gladys Irene Blood (nee Collins) who died on 6th December, 1986 at Basildon Hospital, Basildon, Essex. |

Unless I am misunderstanding the query? you need your mother's birth certificate for her mother's maiden name. |

I was just about to post the same census as Alviegal has above. It seems the most likely one - and I think this is their marriage. |

I believe Gladys only became a Blood after marriage. |
