pm from Shadwell:
"Hi Marie Celeste, Many thanks for your response's re: John & Sarah Tredinnick. My main contact would is researching the above is a xxxxx and she has contacted me via Ancestry.co.uk. All the details on your lists confirm that we are dealing with the same family. Xxxxx is trying to find out what & where they went to after the 1861 census, possible places could be America or Australia as their is family in both these country's. Any further assistance you can supply will be fully appreciated. Best regards ken "
Ken - there are a few of us who've added info on here!

A possible:
New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957 Name: Sarah Tredinnick Arrival Date: 26 Mar 1867 Birth Year: abt 1837 Age: 30 Gender: Female Ethnicity/RaceĀ/Nationality: English Place of Origin: England Port of Departure: Liverpool, England and Queenstown, Ireland Destination: United States of America Port of Arrival: New York Port Arrival State: New York Port Arrival Country: United States Ship Name: Palmyra
She's travelling with Wm 9, James 7, Stephen 5, Edward 4 and Mary 7 (I think Mary may be 7 months as she's listed as infant whereas the others are listed as child)
The two eldest children match the 1861 census.
EDIT: Just realised I'd missed off Wm.
** Ancestry are offering free access to immigration records up to 25/08/2012, so you can have a look at this.

Closest match I can find for John:
New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957 Name: John Tradenick, occupation miner Arrival Date: 6 Jul 1865 Birth Year: abt 1837 Age: 28 Gender: Male Ethnicity/RaceĀ/Nationality: German Place of Origin: Germany Port of Departure: Liverpool, England Destination: United States of America Port of Arrival: New York Port Arrival State: New York Port Arrival Country: United States Ship Name: Edinburgh
I have doubts about the German nationality, I think they've just grouped a load of people as German because that's where they sailed from. The person next to him on the list is a P Bennett who has also been listed as German.

There is a tree on Ancestry which purports to have details of John and his children in the USA - I'm a bit sceptical about some of the info on there. They have no wife listed and have a child attached who was born in Pennsylvania in 1858.
This is the 1880 US census they have attached:
Name: John Tradinick Age: 45 Birth Year: abt 1835 Birthplace: Pennsylvania Home in 1880: Wilkes Barre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania Race: White Gender: Male Relation to Head of House: Self (Head) Marital Status: Married Father's Birthplace: Pennsylvania Mother's Birthplace: Pennsylvania Neighbors: Occupation: Miner Cannot read/write: Blind: Deaf and dumb: Otherwise disabled: Idiotic or insane:
Household Members: Name Age John Tradinick 45 - married, no wife listed. William Tradinick 22 Edward Tradinick 18 James Tradinick 11 Charles Tradinick 6 Rebecca Tradinick 4 Joseph Tradinick 3 Joseph Hughes 23 son-in-law Mary Hughes 17 daughter Sarah Hughes 4m
Everyone born Pennsylvania. I'm not convinced this is the right family - although John and Edward's ages do match what we know.
EDIT: I realised I'd missed "Wm" off of the US arrival I posted above. Now I'm starting to come round to thinking this may be correct after all.
