William Allen's not exactly a rare name, and you can search 1911 by month of birth on Ancestry.
Without a sub, you won't get full details, but you would get something like this June 1884 guy:

Since it's one of the prairie provinces (AB, SK, MB), he could be on the prairie 1906 census (Nominal census days were 24/6/06, 1/6/11, 1/6/16 - 1871-1901 were within a day of UK census day)

A look up of Moose Jaw PO gets Sec.32, Twp.16, R.26, W2 - 1907-04-29
The township measures northing from the US border (in 6 mile steps), and the range measures the westing (usually) from the last meridian line (again in 6 m steps) - here the 2nd meridian = longitude 102 deg W - it's on the SK side of the SK-MB border (at least it is down south), abt 4 m E of Esterhazy SK.
So we need to go a bit S and a bit more E of Moose Jaw.
Drinkwater PO Sec.29, Twp.15, R.23, W2 - 1902-05-20
So Wm's 5 m W and 1 m S of Drinkwater in 1911.

Hi,his parents were James Allen and Margaret Pagett and he was born in South Shields in 1884. He had Albert as a middle name.

William Allen born 1884 South Shields went to Canada between 1901 and 1909 .I have a document stating he was in the R.C.M.R. and in 1909 was promoted to corporal number 1821. I would love to know what happened to him.
