Please can someone see if they can find Joseph Aston and his wife Amy Aston in Aston Birmingham on the 1911 census. I have only just started looking at this family so I do not have much to go on.

Amy was born in Aston Birmingham I thought in 1879 but it could be 1876. I think they had one son.

Sorry not much help I know.

Thanks for looking

It seems Fanny preferred the name Amy in the 1901 census.

Note the Grandaughter Gladys Smith who appears in the 1911 census is with the family.

Thank youPricklyHolly and Brummie46 so much for all your help Yes I think you have found them for me.

I didnt realise that the Amy born in 1876 died aged 1 so she cant be mine.

That will teach me for copying my Uncles research I got the name Amy from his records. I thought he had researched this family in great detail. Just goes to show that you need to confirm everything and not take anything fro granted.

Thank you so much

Gladys Smith belonged to Fanny's sister Matilda who married Joseph Smith.

Matilda died in 1900 which would explain why Gladys was with her Grandfather.
