Please can someone find Elizabeth Halliday on the 1901 census for Salford, lancashire. I know very little about this person except that she married Dec 1923 in Salford to Harold S Chorley. |

Thanks Andy for your help. It looks like I will either have to send for he birth cert or marriage cert to confirm who her father was. I think it was proably the second one you found |

James is shown born Salford, Francis in Birkenhead, so unlikely to be immediate family. |

A tree on Ancestry has the Elizabeth born to Francis and Mary dying in 1901, but you need to check details for yourself. |

Oh that would put a spanner in the works then wouldnt it. She couldn't marry Harold if she was dead. |

I've just Checked FreeBMD. There is a death for an Elizabeth Halliday aged one in Salford in Dec 1901which would agree with the tree on Ancestry. This means that the top Tree is probably mine. |

That tree also has Francis and Mary arriving in the USA in 1905.........and as they don't appear in the 1911 census, i would say it's correct. |

Thank you Allotment. I will have to look into this. I will have to be carefull as I have just got in touch with this branch of my family and I dont want to upset them. They do not have her on their tree. |

it is only for a limited number of churches in the manchester/Salford area and the images have to be trawled through (browse images on familysearch). |
