Hi, Can you help or suggest please?

Charles Roberts and Julia Vincent married in St. augustine, West Derby, Liverpool in 1839.

They had 6 known children, Charles Gilbert I think was their son but he is registered under charles and 'Elizabeth' when baptised 16 aug 1840 at St. peter but his father was a watchmaker , as he was later in life.

then comes Sarah ann 1843, Richard 1846, Frederick 1849, no baptisms found...

Then an IGI entry with no church detials for Walter Arthur 1850, son of charles & Julia and then Julia 1858 St. peter daughter of Charles & Julia.

Charles married to Julia was a watchmaker.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to search for these baptisms, I don't know if I have the wrong eldest son or it was mistranscription when his mother was named Elizabeth.

Mike...the baptism record says he was born 6 Jun 1840.

Reggie, - its a possibility is'nt it?, I did wonder about the census age of Waler and then the baptism....

I think the St. peter's church in this respect was located in Church St, Liverpool city Centre

So .... why do you think he was Charles Gilbert?
The baptism lists Elizabeth not Julia as the mother of the Charles Gilbert baptism

You really need the birth cert to confirm parents.

edit - apologies - having checked the LRO catalogue, St Augustine comes under Everton which is classed as West Derby

Mike, his daughter Julia is a confirmed ancestor, married George Walsham and he is named Charles Gilbert on the marriage certificate, a watchmaker.
