I have found out from my grandmother that Joseph had had 3 children with Lillian Pearson. He had:
Rose Skitt (1911-Unknown)
Horace Skitt (1918-1962)
Samuel Skitt (1921-1999)

I hope this can help anyone :-)

There's this:

Soldiers Died in the Great War

Joseph Skitt of Willenhall, Staffordshire

Killed in action - Flanders - lst November 1914

But just realised this can't be yours, as they had children after the war.

Hi
A baby called Mary Ann Skitt, daughter of Joseph and Lily, was born on 22nd March 1909 and christened on 27th April at St. Annes, Willenhall.
Could this be the missing child?
(Parents lived at 23 Spring Vale Street).

Weedon - Australia, Hertfordshire; Paterson - Scotland; Elmer - Huntingdon; Ball, Lloyd, Warren - Birmingham; Branson - Bucks;
