So Catherine's census appears to be the correct one..although the wife is definitely recorded as Margaret.

It mentions that in 1910 wife Mary ann and his sister Lily Agnes were living at 80 Corbridge St., Byker.#

However, by 1911 it looks like Lily Agnes is married and still living there but Mary Ann has moved on?

The probate which Catherine found was for a man who lived in Longhorsley - and, sorry Catherine, you have given inaccurate info.
Administration of the estate was granted to John Storey - to find out who benefited, one would have to purchase a copy of the Will

There are 3 children born with correct name and mother's maiden name Davidson, born in Newcastle. The last one is in 1922 which suggests that he died some time between 1922 and 1924

When, and where, was William Edward Storey born please?

Remember that a death would be registered where the death occurred so could be registered in another district,

other points to consider are that the information on a death would only be as good as the informants knowledge, ages can be wrong and middle names missed off or even eg, Henry known as nickname harry was registered as harry on the death cert
