Lauren,
There are 5 or 6 newspaper articles on Colin and most are from the The Advertiser Adelaide 1917 and 1918.
One says the loss of his right leg was his 3rd injury!

His mother also placed an In Memorium article on his anniversary in 1921

Thats him , his dad was fredrick his mother was alice m, and his 3 sisters were alice jessie and dorris.
Thank you to you all for the help , its quite sad reading about him,still so young. Im going to try see if i can find a picture of him now .

Newspaper articles from Mar 1918 confirm that the deceased was a returning soldier who served with the 9th Light Horse Regiment.

Edit:
There are a number of newspaper articles re Colin who was wounded twice in Galipoli
The 2nd injury, Jan 1917, resulted in the loss of his his right leg and he was hospitalised in Cairo.
He was returned to Australia in Mar 1917 as a result of this.

Anne, it must be him as the family was in Dorset 1911 and his parents died there.
His father's middle initials were H.F. so I am betting these names were Henry Frederick! And mother was Alice M.
Good research there everybody!

Only the executors are mentioned on the Probate records - for further info, a copy of the Will would have to be purchased.

His mum Alice Mary Crossley (widow)died Dorchester 3/6/1947 probate 7/12/1948 to Ali Legg wife of Fred james Legg £165 1s 7d.
No mention of son Colin.
Ali Crossley (Alice) 1895 ?married Frederick James legg 1916 Dorchester.
Benjamin (Dad) died 1922 can't see a will.
