Find Ancestors

Hi, can anyone please find Sarah on the 1881 and 1891 census please.

I have her on the 1901 and 1911, she is married to Henry Rouse and still living in Faringdon, they married 4th qtr 1897 in Faringdon, I have just ordered her BC and her MC, they will come in a couple of days time, but in the meantime I thought I would find her on the other 2 census, but I cant find her.

Her birth cert ref was 4th qtr 1876 Faringdon vol 2c page 260
her MC ref was vol 2c page 610 4th qtr 1897 Faringdon

Can you help please.

I cant find her in 1891. Im guessing Alice, listed on the 1881 is the mother of Sarah and was unmarried but you'd need her birth certificate to check

There is a possible marriage for Alice Pearce in Faringdon in the 1880s,,,,you can check it out on freebmd

Ginny, I am so sorry to bother you again, but wonder if you can help, the line I am following starts with Dinah,then Alice, then Sarah 1876 then Lottie 1912, then my daughter in laws Dad xxxx, then her xxxx, my question is the death of Richard Pearce you found in 1847, then he couldnt be the father of Alice could he ??.

No he wastn the father of Alice. It looks like Dinah had Alice to another man.

This is her birth, the only way to check is to see if the father is listed is to buy the certificate

They also do a Buriel Index for the whole of pre 1974 Berkshire which is also on going and updated annually,which I searched for Richard without success
