I have been trying to trace a birth/baptism record of a Susan Mary Byrne born c.1879 Dublin. 1901 Irish census she was living 126.5 Thomas st Ushers Quay Dublin and i know the family lived 6 Mclane Lane Dublin.
1911 census a possible for Susan Byrne is 78 Upper Walhouse St Walsall England and she claims she born Kingstown Dublin 1879. She was Roman Catholic so if it is her would it be possible to trace her baptism record in Kingstown area?? Thanks Sharon

Her parents were Nicholas Byrne and Bridget Coles. I forgot to say sorry!!

Exactly how was her name spelt on the 1901 census please? There is another Susan Byrne on the 1901 census stating born Kingstown

Could you look at the Irish census and check if the parents also came from Dublin?
The reason for my asking is that there is another ( poss same) Nicholas Byrne with Bridget Coals who had slightly older child also called Patrick b 1870, but this birth is registered in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford rather than Dublin.
Trying to determine if these are different families.

Hi Anne, That census for the address given in the original post has both parents and older sister born Co Wexford, but Susan born Dublin

I can't see a marriage for Susan or a birth for Elizabeth in England though?

Nicholas Byrne & Bridget Coals were born Wexford possibly Oylegate as their daughter Penelope/Ellen was born Oylegate Wexford c.1864. Their Son Charles was born Wexford 1856.
I cannot find Susan Mary Byrne/Gulliver on any census after 1901 Irish census. Her daughter died 1902.

Elizabeth was actually baptised Lillian Winifred Gulliver why she was known as Elizabeth i do not know!!!

I looked on Rootsireland and searched for all births between 1860 and 1890. These Byrne births are all that exist on the site with a father called Nicholas.
Only Julia b 1862 had a mother called Bridget .
None have a mother with the last name of Coles.

Trouble with rootsireland there is not 100% coverage though, a lot of parishes are either missing or only part transcribed.
