Im wondering if she added those names after her birth, like it might have been her mothers maiden name or something, Forsyth Hayes sound to me like two different surnames! |

Yeah lots of alice's on the census records in 1901 and 1911 just cant place her to a family as i dont know any of her siblings or her parents names or where she was born im pretty sure she was born in 1894 so its narrowed down to around 9 familys, this is exhausting lol |

Can anyone help me? im trying to find information regarding my great grandma Alice Walsh, She was born in 1894 dont know where, I know she married my great grandad Bernard Manus in 1924 the marriage certificate says Alice Forsyth Hayes Welsh and not Walsh (printing mistake i pressume) also says she was 27 and this would mean she was born in 1897 but think she may have told a white lie about her age as her death was in 1967 and says she was 73 when she died. No fathers name on the certificate . On the birth certicates of her 2 sons, mothers maiden name is walsh and on one of the certificates it says her full name as alice forsyth hayes walsh, im wondering why she would have those names as i would of thought they were surnames? Can anyone help me as im now stuck my grandad only knows she had a brother that died on a battleship when it was hit by a german torpedo, think it was world war one,I have looked it up but dont know his first name and cant match the ones i did find to living with alice in the census records when they were younger. she also had a brother who hurt his hand or cut it off in a printing machine at work, again dont know when or his first name but know it was printed in a newspaper article. Please help me with any advise or suggestions you can give me thank you so much in advance |
