Find Ancestors

I can't find my Grandfather, on his marriage he was Alfred Matthew William Hedges May and he married Minnie Rose Lough in 1911 I have no idea where he was born on his wedding cert it just gives his regiment as 2nd West Riding but I can't find anybody born with those names, I am sending for his marriage cert and hope that this gives me some information but in the meantime can anybody help are you researching either of these people if so we might be relatives

I think I must be confused!

It looks like they had three children, two in Hampshire and one in Halifax W Yorkshire, he also served with a W Yorks corp

Without the marriage certificate, I would hazard a guess that Alfred was born in Halifax or somewhere there abouts
