Sometimes I delete, and sometimes I do not.

I usually leave when the original poster has posted a lot of extra rubbish that they are just too lazy to delete.

For example, not removing;

'Street Address:

Occupation:

Condition as to marriage:

Education:

Employment status: View image '

Which, I think, makes it difficult for anyone to understand what is going on.

(But that is slightly off the discussion)

Lazy Jude ;-)

Patchem, I have to agree that some of the info that is included in the transcription can leave the OP confused, it looks like there is info missing when its posted like that

I had one a few weeks ago and the OP didnt understand anything about a census, I had to explain everything, including what 'head' meant. I had removed the rubish before posting but still had to explain everything else.....bless. Made me realise how confusing it all is for someone new

And then there are the really odd posts that have about half a page gap between every line.......what the heck is that about!!!!!!!!!!

...and IGI posts....what a load of old pants if they are not edited!

....and then there are some that are edited so much, I cant understand them!

Patchem, that is called "tidying up". I always try to do it, but it can be a pain.
