i wonder if you could help
would i beable to view a 1942 marriage cert on line or would i have to order it .
i.m trying too find out the parants or siblings of

DAISY. TONG-RACK born 1921 in hull
i know who she married & what children she had but i would love to know who her mother & father were i have contacted a member on here with her in there tree but so farr they have not answered my message after months

yes i found her birth but gives the mmn as TONG-RACK so am thinking maybe she was born out of wedlock & maybe no fathers name on birth cert so thought of the marriage cert
i was wonder what cert would be best for me i guess the birth cert as that would give me mothers name & then i could see who & when she married i just wasn,t sure if you could view on line somewhere

I think the two refs to her surname means that the registrar may have thought Tong was another christian name rather than part of her surname . You would get the same cert whichever ref you use

Going on from Shirley's post there are a lot more children with the MMN Tong-Rack in Hull or Sculcoates, with various surnames (as well as the Douglas ones). Check it out. Maybe you will need both marriage and birth certs.
