Catherine,
Were there any siblings living with Martha on the 1841 please?

There are other possible births for John, but this one caught my eye as father is Peter, and I have found in my own research that names do seem to get passed down through the family:-

JOHN PIMLET - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Birth: 07 MAY 1797
Gender: Male Christening: 11 JUN 1797 Davenham, Cheshire, England
Father: PETER PIMLET
Mother: MARTHA GOODIER

..........maybe you could keep for future reference.

Hi Anne,
Take another look at my posting of 1841 and you will see there are children with Martha:-

Ellen Pimlet 10 born: Lancashire
John Pimlet 7
Samuel Pimlet 5
William Pimlet 2

...............................which all fit with the christenings I posted.

No problem Anne,
You're very welcome, it's always nice to get a good result so it was a pleasure.
If you're getting a bit confused the best thing to do is to print all the separate pieces of info out onto pieces of paper. Then put them into order and it will become much clearer.
Good luck with the rest of your research, and don't forget we are here to help if you need it.
Best Regards
Catherine

Anne - you now have four Pimlett postings - this is not allowed by GR - you should stick to just one posting - the rule is one posting per person/family
