Does anyone know where I might be able to find the above document on the web. I know the Southampton document is on various websites but really struggling to find the Queenstown, Ireland list. I've paid genes reunited the extra subscription for passenger list info but unfortunately the link doesn't work. Kind regards, Julie

Probably me yeah! I'm after the original scanned passenger list. I've got the transcript. Trying to find out if my passenger boarded with anyone else or see if I can find the previous ticket number or the one after that my passenger travelled on. Kind regards, Julie

Didnt they all board in Southampton

Julie

Julie Report 1 Jan 2012 15:29

No there were Queenstown embarkees, Ireland and then Cherbourg? I think x

Gee

These were the people that boarded at Queenstown

It looks like they are listed together as couples, families and single people

Yeah thanks, it's the original scanned document I'm after, thank you x

Julie - if the Cobh Heritage Centre can't help you, no-one can!

http://www.cobhheritage.com/index2.html

I was there last year, they're worth a try.

However, on the link that Gins kindly provided, if you click on the person's name it gives you their ticket number and how much they paid.

The Encyclopedia Titanica also lists passengers with ticket numbers, This is in a format where you could easily import into excel and sort by ticket.

Gins has already given the link above.

If you don't fancy doing that then tell me who your passenger was and I'll see if I can find for you.

But, if you're determined that only a scan will do then try Cobh.

Findmypast has some images. What name are you looking for? There seems to be 7 pages of passengers boarding in Queenstown.

Im not sure that a scanned copy will give any further details?

The site that you posted MC states the same number of passengers boarding as does the list on the link that I posted

MarieCeleste

I know it does, Gins, but it's in an easier format to put into Excel and search.

I agree that the scan isn't going to tell more, and may be harder to search.

It's Patrick Lane, ticket no. 7935, thought he might have boarded with other people and just wanted to see if any of the names were family names. I've got transcript info, just want to see the original document. I'm annoyed that I specifically paid genes, who advertise "original documents" and the link doesn't work. They've refused me a refund and have been "looking into it" for over two months now x

Unfortunately on Findmypast I am getting "an error has occurred" on the image with Patrick Lane on it. I will try later for you. However I only put the surname Lane into the search and Patrick is the only one who comes up so it seems he didn't travel with anyone else called Lane.

I'm admitting defeat! I've done the copying into excel thing and sorted by ticket number and not got any further information. Thank you for your help everyone. Kind regards, Julie x

Julie, it's obvious the tickets weren't numbered consecutively.

Well, at least we've now got databases for future reference!

Julie

Julie Report 1 Jan 2012 17:39

Kathleen, that's what happens on genes too. Can get the transcript but not the original x

I have reported the error to Findmypast, but it could be that there was a problem with the original digitisation of the image. There are 7 images and the one with Patrick on it is the only one that has a problem - I can get the others to load.
