Not finding anything in LMA.

Presumably the first marriage can't have been that long if he was born in 1854, as he would only have been 22 when he married Sarah Anne!

Can't find a previous marriage in London area in FreeBMD either.

Yes that's the correct one, Thank you very much.

I believe the birthdate of c1854 that you're working from is totally wrong. Census 1901 posted earlier on this thread and census 1911 given birth date of c1829, so extremely likely that Henry was married before, and thus a widower when he married Sarah Anne in 1876.

I searched and found this chap born St John's Wood in census 1851:

Charles not born in county, so born outside London. Occupation is given as cab driver on the image.

I think Sarah might be the Sarah Frost Ault mentioned in the 1881 census Barbara posted, so the Charles F in the same census could be Henry's brother rather than his father. Wonder if the F in Charles's name also stood for Frost?
