Maureen If you are confused there is no hope for me!!! we did know he had emigrated, but it was only out of the blue when the probate people contacted my mother in law about the inheritance that they remembered him. Therefore we assumed he hadn't married as there were no relatives apart from here.

maybe he really was married to Nancy and she predeceased him and they had no children ?

or they divorced? I think Ancestry shows some divorce records ... but Nancy could still be living ...

I meant 'no he probably didn't settle in Canada' since the death record Marie Celeste found matches the birth record :-)

looking for the second address at google maps ... there is W Executive Dr and S Executive Dr but no N Executive Dr

Executive Dr S is a giant carpark, maybe buildings have been torn down ... Executive Dr W has a few houses on the other side

since the probate was in Missouri he must have been living there again when he died

He didn't marry. The probate division was in St. Charles Missouri.and is dated 8/6/1995 when all the settlements were made. He had no relatives in America. Therefore I think it took some time before they tracked everyone down. The date of death would probably be some years before 1995.

Olwen - when did he die? (and do you know where in the US?)

We might be able to work back from that?

Do we take it he wasn't married? Or, if he was, who to?
