	There is also this death but age is not quite right: Deaths Jun 1911 (>99%) Smith Clara 26 Middlesbro 9d 400 Scan available - click to view Also these marriages: Marriages Jun 1912 (>99%) SMITH Clara Cass Middlesbro 9d 1143 Scan available There are some more marriages in the 1920s in Middlesbrough/Stockton buth nothing seems to jump out!

	If no obvious death is showing, possibly her husband died and she married someone else.

	MC doh! Of course, I know that mmn is on birth certifcates, all the way back to July 1 1837! I have several going that far back slip of the finger .... I meant to say on the registration. sylcia

Member Since: August 2009 Posts: 771 Send Message	Tees Valley Indexes have two deaths for Clara Smith between 1901 - 1921: year of death 1910: ref M-M-1-0-166 year of death 1915: ref M-M-14-0-443 There's also a Clara D Smith in Guisborough (just along the road) but as you don't mention a middle name I'm assuming this not her You may need to get both death certs to establish which (if either) is your Clara but you can ask questions of registrar before ordering certificate

	Peter was Annie's maiden name Featherstone? She married Alfred Bage on 5 Aug 1872, Parish Church, Parish of St. John, County of Newcastle on Tyne sylvia

	There you go Margee - 'broken' families are not just a 21st Century phenomena. Also, I suspect Annie was a bigamist but that is another story. I already have a lot of on her and the families but I am looking into Clara.
