I have taken advantage of Ancestry's free access to WWI records to look up Herbert Harold Perrin, born Bradfield, Berkshire 1886. He enlisted in the Royal Berks Regiment in 1909. Ancestry says that he married in Kent before 1915 but doesn't give a date or spouse and that he died in 1968, but doesn't say where. Can anyone help with details please? Many thanks. |

1911 institution? Army I presume? Thanks - I'll see if I can find more on that. :-) |

re your other Perrin posting - which you should delete by the wy and add to this - small boys were dressed as girls at that time - it was an old wives tale that the devil took little boys so they were dressed as girls until three years of age - have a photo of my Dad in a dress!! |

I had looked but for some reason couldn't find him. But I was probably looking in the wrong county, and there are an awful lot of Perrins! Thanks. |

Linda, his marriage and spouse's name is on his Pension record. Have you browsed all of the images? |

I couldn't find how to access the other images on Ancestry - I noticed it said 12 images, but no obvious way to see them! Well, not obvious to me anyway! :-0 Interesting that he had a daughter. Auntie Margery remembered him as someone rather eccentric who used to go off and live rough! But I'm not sure what period she was talking about - she was born in 1912 so not before the 1920s anyway. |

Linda, to view the other images, click on the arrow at the top, just across from the box next to the word "image". There are details in the record of his injuries. |
