Hi,
I have a George Dixon born 1849 in Hulme, Manchester, Could anyone help me find if his parents were Thomas Dixon and Mary Brooks also if he had a brother James and 2 sisters Mary and Ellen. Ihave looked this up on the censuses but keep coming stuck.

My great grandfather was George Dixon born 1887 a lady sent me a message saying she had a George Dixon whos father was George Dixon born 1849 and everything else fell into place, She has George parents as Thomas and Mary but i havent gone back any futher than George 1849

I have George Dixon born 1887 he married a Mary Stockley they had a son Texas Dixon born 1921 in Canada

their daughter born c1914 was also named Rose Ann

Yes George Dixon born 1885/6 father was George Dixon born 1849 and mother Rose ann McCue and yes they did have a daught Rose ann.
I think George 1849 his father was Thomas Dixon 1820 and mother Mary Brooks but i need to confirm Dixon side from Lancashire area.

have you found George 1849 on any census before he married Rosa

perhaps the marriage certificate of George (1887) and Rosa would be a good place to start to confirm George's father's name & occupation
