Thank you MarieCeleste.
The date she left was what I was wanting to know. The info confirms that the Edith I E Moffat that emigrated to Canada is the one in the 1911 census that I posted.
Now we can be sure that she left before the birth of the twins we can eliminate her from the search.

Well done Maura. I understand now why she didn't show on my search but at least she's been found. Now we just need to know what happened to her.

Thanks for this, but as you say wrong Edith as she was heavily pregnant at the time of this marriage.

Looks like the above lady is a different Edith Moffatt as she was in Canada and married before the twins were born.

Here's that Canadian Passenger list:

So frustrated here!!!!

Just had a look on ancestry Canadian bmd and the record I mentioned earlier for a marriage for Edyth I Moffatt is looking to be even more like the Edith from the 1911 census.

We know from the census that her full name was Edith Ina E Moffatt and the marriage record I have found (but can't view) does have two middle names beginning with I and E:-

All Ontario, Canada Marriages, 1801-1928 results for Edith I Moffatt

Edyth I E Moffatt name surname date York

could someone please have a look and put me out of my misery?

Catherine

Catherine Report 28 Oct 2011 17:20

If the Edith that you are looking for is the one born in 1899, Dublin, then we now know her middle name is Ina.
Whilst looking for other info I came across these:-

These records may also be relevant to Edith Ina E Moffatt:

Edith I Moffatt
Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935

and

Edyth I Moffatt
Ontario, Canada Marriages, 1801-1928

............so could be she emigrated to Canada?

Unfortunately my ancestry sub. doesn't allow me to view the records so we need someone with ancestry worldwide who is willing to look these up to see what they say. Any takers????

Fingers crossed xxxxx
